HOUSE OF FILM AFM TITLES INCLUDE OFFICIAL OSCAR ENTRY AND HUGO WINNER “BEAUTIFUL DARLING”

Success for Beautiful Darling at the 46th Chicago International Film Festival, where it won the Golden Hugo first prize in the Docufest section, is one of several boosts for House of Film, as it prepares for next month’s AFM.

The LA-based company has distribution rights to the documentary, which revisits the life of Andy Warhol acolyte Candy Darling, and features Chloe Sevigny as the voice of the famous transsexual.

Positive audience response to the James Rasin-directed movie prompted two additional screenings at the Chicago Festival, North America’s longest established competitive festival.

House of Film will also be featuring Hong Kong Confidential, an Oscar contender for Best Foreign Film category, as well as promoting its role on forthcoming movie The Treehouse, previous title The Master of Farnow, one of Europe’s most prestigious film projects.

“House of Film is well positioned to be at the forefront of attention at the AFM November 3rd through November 7th in Los Angeles,” says Ava B, founder and president of House of Film.

“We’ll also have a surprise release for the AFM. Come visit us at the American film Market to find out more. All I can say for now is that it’s 3D,” she adds.
